The weather will get colder in the coming days, but warm in mid-August is expected / Article / LSM.lv

At the beginning of the new week, the northern wind will increase slightly in Latvia and cooler air will flow in, but in the second half of the week it will get warmer again, there will be little rainfall, according to the latest weather forecasts.

On Monday, the north, northwest wind will become moderate, under its influence the air temperature on the coast will no longer exceed +20 .. + 25 degrees, in the rest of the country the air will heat up to +25 .. + 29 degrees. In some places in Vidzeme and Latgale there may be a short-term rain and thunderstorm.

It is expected that the coldest day of the week will be Wednesday – the air temperature will then not exceed +18 .. + 22 degrees, in some places in Kurzeme the air will warm up to +24 degrees. At night, the air temperature will drop below +10 degrees in many places.

Warmer weather is expected next weekend – the thermometer bar will probably rise to +28 degrees in some places.

From the middle of the week the wind will be slow again, no wind is expected. The amount of clouds will change, in some days short-term rain and thunderstorms are expected in some places, at night and in the early mornings fog will thicken here and there.
