The Meteorological Authority announced weather forecasts and temperatures over a period of 6 days, from Wednesday, February 1, 2023, until Monday, February 6, 2023.

And the meteorologists said, in a statement, that during this period, cold weather prevails in the early morning, it is cold during the day in Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts and northern Upper Egypt, it is warm in southern Sinai and southern Upper Egypt.

Also, during the night period, cold weather prevails in the north of the country up to Greater Cairo, while it is very cold in the south of the country.

The Meteorological Authority indicated that snow will form on the top of Mount Moses and Mount St. Catherine.

Wednesday weather
There are moderate rains that may be thundery at times, with an incidence of approximately 60% in areas of the northern coasts and northern Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals, that may sometimes be accompanied by hail in areas of Alexandria, Beheira, Kafr El-Sheikh, Damietta and Port Said.

There is also light rain that may be medium, with an incidence of approximately 40%, in areas of southern Lower Egypt, the Canal cities, and central Sinai, extending in the evening to areas of Greater Cairo, with an incidence of 30%, at intermittent intervals.

The wind movement is active in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, and South Sinai. It may be sandy and dusty in areas of northern Upper Egypt, northern Sinai, and northern Red Sea Governorate, at intermittent intervals, which increases the feeling of cold weather.

There is disturbance in the maritime traffic in the Mediterranean, wind speeds from 60 to 70 km per hour, and wave heights from 3 to 4.5 meters.

Thursday weather
There is light rain that may be medium, with an incidence of about 30%, on areas of the northern coasts and the north of Al-Wajh, at intermittent intervals.

There is also wind activity on areas of the northeastern and south Sinai coasts, at intermittent intervals.

Friday weather
Water mist spreads in the morning on some roads leading to and from Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, canal cities, central Sinai and northern Upper Egypt.

Saturday and Sunday weather
There is medium rain with an incidence of approximately 50% in areas of the northern coasts and Lower Egypt, at intermittent intervals, in addition to light to medium rains with an incidence of approximately 40% in areas of southern Lower Egypt, the Canal cities and central Sinai.

The wind movement is active in areas of Greater Cairo, Lower Egypt, the northern coasts, South Sinai and northern Upper Egypt, at intermittent periods, which increases the feeling of cold weather.

Monday weather
There is light to medium rain, with an incidence of about 30%, on areas of the northern coasts, at intermittent periods, in addition to wind activity on areas of the northern coasts, at intermittent periods.
