Usually tested on the first Wednesday of each month, warning sirens will once again sound on the morning of Tuesday, May 24. Unlike Monday, May 23, when tests were carried out in the 1st arrondissement, it is the turn of the 3rd arrondissement to activate its sirens this Tuesday.
In normal times, Lyon’s warning sirens are tested on the first Wednesday of each month at noon, but don’t be surprised if you hear that of the 3rd arrondissement sounding at the start of the morning this Tuesday, May 24, it is indeed a ‘a test.
System modernization
As part of the modernization of the Population Alert and Information System (SAIP), the siren of the Condorcet school group, located in the 3rd arrondissement, will sound this Tuesday, May 24 at exactly 8:30 a.m., announced the prefecture.
As a reminder, Monday May 23, a first test had already been carried out in the 1st arrondissement. The Palais Saint-Pierre alert siren had been activated several times in the afternoon.
