The war on Twitter spreads a call to the public

“Let’s protect ourselves, let’s protect them, let’s not play the lottery with our health and life,” the prime minister urges.

As reported, 637 new cases of Covid-19 were discovered in Latvia on Thursday, but two Covid-19 patients died, according to data compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

The Minister of Health Ilze Hänķele (AP) warned this week that the prevalence of Covid-19 in Latvia is very, very serious, and if the situation does not improve, strict restrictions will have to be introduced throughout the country.

Daina Mūrmane-Umbraško, State Secretary of the Ministry of Health (MoW), emphasized that there may come a time when the health care system will not be able to help everyone due to the increase in the number of patients admitted to Covid-19.

Data from the National Health Service show that a total of 496 Covid-19 patients were treated in hospitals on Thursday. Of all those hospitalized, 460 have a moderate course of the disease and 36 have a severe course of the disease.
