Jacques Vermeire’s seventieth birthday is celebrated extensively on TV. Not only VTM and Play4 put his career in the limelight, One also does the same with the show Jacques 70.

VTM will already be broadcasting this Saturday Viva Vermeire out, an occasional program in which the commercial channel cycles through Jacques Vermeire’s career. On May 13, Play4 sends Vermeire on a trip ‘down memory lane’ together with daughter Julie Hit the road Jacques. However, the successful comedian and actor started his career at the public broadcaster and so One is also doing his bit to celebrate Vermeire’s seventieth birthday on May 27. The channel does that with a nostalgic Sunday evening show that will be broadcast on May 30. Vermeire undoubtedly reaped his greatest successes at the VRT, starting with the indestructible DDT type FC the champions. In addition, there were also his end of year shows Oops Jacques and his appearances in the game The 3 wise men particularly popular.
The retrospective of Vermeire’s course will be handed over to Steven Van Herreweghe on One. He invites friends, family and colleagues from Vermeire to look back with him. Several comedians, including Urbanus, Xander De Rycke, Amelie Albrecht and Kamal Kharmach, will honor Vermeire with a piece of comedy that has been specially tailored for this occasion.
