The winner of the viewer’s vote will be announced The Great Kristaps at the awards ceremony on 15 November. The ceremony will feature awards for the best films and film professionals, including special jury and partner awards (including Latvian Mobile Phone award for best feature film). Viewers will be able to watch the award ceremony on Latvian Television and the portal lsm.lv live stream.
National Film Award Kristaps the Great will take place this year from 12 to 15 November. This is the most important event in the Latvian film industry, which gives an opportunity to see and professionally evaluate the latest Latvian films, as well as to honor the traditions of Latvian cinema. In 2016 Kristaps the Great has won the status of the National Award, and this year the awards will be presented for the 32nd time. Movies will be available to watch in the cinema Splendid Palace, In the quarter of Tallinn Street and online – on the portal filmas.lv.
National Film Award Kristaps the Great organized by the Latvian Cinematographers’ Union in cooperation with the National Cinema Center and the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Latvia.
