People will have to wear protective masks for about two more years, Sergei Netesov, head of the laboratory of biotechnology and virology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of NSU, told RIA Novosti.

He noted that the coronavirus is likely to become a seasonal disease and will evolve for centuries. However, over time, the virus will become less dangerous.

The expert also said that you can avoid the second wave of COVID-19 if you often wash your hands and wear masks. If these recommendations are followed, it will be possible to avoid other infections, the risk of which increases in the fall.
