Action men want pickpocket The motorcyclist was caught in an amateur video and went viral on social media. The perpetrator is said to have carried out the action in Pulogadung Terminal, East Jakarta.
In the video, a suspect is seen trying to take the contents of a bag from a motorcycle. The perpetrator unzipped the pocket of the biker’s bag.
The video caption narrates the event taking place near Pulogadung Terminal, East Jakarta, Monday (17/1) this morning. The perpetrator was seen wearing a gray jacket, long pants, and wearing a black hat.
The pickpocket took place in an open area. The perpetrator very calmly tried to open the victim’s bag.
However, the theft attempt did not end smoothly. The perpetrator failed to take the victim’s belongings who first spurred his motorbike.
Asked for confirmation, the Head of the Pulogadung Police, AKP David Richardo, confirmed that there was an attempt to steal people’s belongings. He said his members had now carried out an investigation at the location.
“Yes, we have received the complaint through the viral information. The team has gone to the location to investigate (investigation),” David said when contacted, Monday (17/1/2022).
David said that until now there have been no victims who made police report. Even so, the police will still pick up the ball to conduct an investigation at the location.
“We’re still picking up the ball and looking for the alleged perpetrator, like the one in the viral video. We’re still investigating,” concluded David.
