The Village québécois d’antan sells its antiques

The Village québécois d’antan (VQA) in Drummondville, in Center-du-Québec, is organizing a sale on Saturday of its collections of ancient treasures.

Replica of a 19th century French-speaking Quebec village, the VQA, with more than 70 period buildings offering an immersion in time, wants to get rid of certain bulky objects in its collection by organizing a garage sale.

“The sale of these items that we have in several copies or which have not found a place in our historic setting will take place on the steps of houses in the village,” said Guy Bellehumeur, Director General of VQA.

Entrance is free and visitors can access the site through parking lots 3 and 4, usually reserved for employees, and not through the ticket office, the organization created in 1977 said in a press release.

“We hope that many people will come to support a recognized organization in the region,” added Mr. Bellehumeur, referring to the financial repercussions induced by the coronavirus pandemic.

Notice to antique dealers and other collectors.
