Dozens of residents of the village of Padarsko in Plovdiv said their last goodbyes to the murdered young mother Fanka. She told “Maritsa” Maria Valeva, mayor of the settlement. The funeral was today. “Many people attended to pay their respects,” she commented.
Valeva stressed that the increased police presence continues in the village. “The situation is extremely calm. There are no indications of conflicts,” the mayor said.
The inhabitants of Padarsko are extremely stressed, scared and still cannot believe that a few days ago 28-year-old Fanka was killed in cold blood by her ex-husband Alexander.
Currently the children are looked after by their paternal grandmother. Since the mother is no longer alive and the father is in prison, social services have to settle the custody issue.
