The video of a security camera recorded the aggression that caused the death of José Miguel Castillo Higueras in Granada

The Fatal assault received by former Granada City Councilor José Miguel Castillo on the morning of Sunday, January 23, has been recorded by the security camera of an establishment near the scene of the events, in the surroundings of San Antón. This allows the Police to have a video of the facts and where the assailant can be identified.

The harsh images that can be seen in that video reproduce the exact moment of the assault and robbery. The National Police can identify a person discovered that he approached the victim, overtook him, faced him and dealt him a forceful enough blow to the face so that Castillo Higueras fell fatally backwards.

After that aggression, the attacker records his victim to rob him for a long time, although he could have left some of his belongings there like the keys. He then flees on foot, leaving a garment in the street that he was wearing before the attack.

The event occurred at 8 in the morning on Sunday in the surroundings of the narrow friars street, an area where José Miguel Castillo is domiciled.

He was transferred by health care to the Traumatology Hospital where He later died of his injuries. The body was transferred yesterday to the Forensic Anatomical Institute.

The publication of that video in the social network Instagram by a channel on police material and tactical training (with almost 9,000 followers) could be the subject of an internal investigation and in a few hours it was removed from the internet.
