The Provincial Championship that organizes the Provincial Veterans Soccer Association of Castellón will start this weekend, specifically the Saturday 18th, with a new season ahead. After being forced to suspend the competition due to covid-19, the ball will roll again through the provincial fields and the participants will fight for the title at stake.

The main novelty of this new campaign is the equipment increase and the inclusion of a new division. Thus, the competition will feature this year with a total of 35 sets divided into three categories. Twelve clubs will compete in the first and second divisions, while in the third there will be eleven, so each day one will rest. Notably each group has been organized according to the classification of the last season at the time the competition was suspended.

The league will respect the leisure dates, Magdalena and Holy Week festivities, in addition to Christmas, which will rest from December 18 to January 8; and will end on March 5 to make way for inclusive, commemorative and memorial tournaments. These will take place mainly in May and June. In addition, the league cup will also be played, as well as the seventh edition of the Solidarity Soccer with the aim of giving visibility and generating knowledge.

The mandatory stoppage caused by the pandemic has allowed the registered teams to expand after a reorganization with an additional league. In the first category, Veterans CD Castellón, Betxí and Como Before used to be at the top of the table, but this season the difficulty increases with a more competitive league. This first day the vast majority of teams will play their matches on Saturday and only two matches will be played during the day on Sunday.
