The US provides data on crimes against Cabeza de Vaca – Telemundo San Antonio (60)

MEXICO CITY – The legal situation of the governor of the border state of Tamaulipas, Francisco Javier García Cabeza de Vaca, seemed to get complicated Monday night, after the Attorney General’s Office reported that it received information from the United States that would involve him in different crimes.

According to a statement from the Prosecutor’s Office, the United States Department of Justice sent the Mexican government information on possible criminal responsibilities of three García Cabeza de Vaca brothers in crimes of tax fraud and operations with resources of illicit origin.

The information is “regarding the possible criminal responsibilities of Francisco Javier” G “, Ismael” G “, José Manuel” G “, José Ramón” C “and various commercial, developer and industrial companies”.

According to the statement, the aforementioned and their companies are linked to banking irregularities, illegal money transfers and illicit operations.

As it is new evidence, said the Prosecutor’s Office, the Mexican justice authorities will integrate them into the corresponding investigation folder, which will be made up of both the Prosecutor’s Office and the tax authorities.

Since last March, the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) of the Ministry of Finance proposed to investigate the brothers of the governor of Tamaulipas for the allegedly illicit origin of their resources.

What do they say about the Cabeza de Vaca brothers?
According to the FIU investigation, José Manuel and Ismael García Cabeza de Vaca have ties to properties and companies that are under investigation.

Governor of Tamaulipas issues a message denying the accusations against him and affirmed that he will stand up and continue to fight for his ideals, his convictions and for the people of Tamaulipas.

José Manuel owns three properties in the state of Tamaulipas and two in Texas, United States, in addition to 11 vehicles valued at 16.7 million pesos (about $ 839,000), according to a report from the FIU headed by Santiago Nieto.

Regarding Samuel García Cabeza de Vaca, current senator who aspires to govern Tamaulipas, the UIF attributes the ownership of three properties in Texas and eight trucks with a value of 7 million pesos ($ 351,000).

“His financial operations break his profile after his brother is appointed governor of the state of Tamaulipas (from 2017 to 2018 he receives 9.3 million pesos of salary and salaries),” says the UIF document.

Governor García Cabeza de Vaca is immersed in a process of lawlessness promoted by legislators of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena), founded by President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

Just on Friday, the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation accepted the constitutional controversy filed by the Congress of Tamaulipas.
