The high number of cervical cancer cases in Indonesia, gave birth to the HPV vaccine policy for children which is provided free of charge through the Ministry of Health. This is done so that the body’s immunity to the HPV virus is formed early on.
HPV or Human Papillomavirus is a sexually transmitted infection caused by skin-to-skin contact through the reproductive tract. This vaccine is important for children to prevent the spread of viruses and diseases before they have sexual contact and are exposed to HPV.
