When Foreign Minister Antony Blinken was visited by his Israeli counterpart Yair Lapid on Wednesday, he said that the United States hopes that the nuclear talks with Iran will succeed.
Lapid accused Iran of delaying negotiations and said that Israel reserves the right to use force against Iran.
– We are prepared to resort to other alternatives if Iran does not change course, Blinken said, without elaborating.
Negotiations have been going on for months to revive the international nuclear agreement from 2015. It collapsed when the United States withdrew and reintroduced sanctions in 2018, to which Iran responded by breaking its own obligations.
