The United Arab Emirates plans to bring its self-propelled robot to the moon in 2024 – in the world

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced the launch of a new lunar exploration project and plans to bring its self-propelled robot to Earth in 2024.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktum, the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai, said on Twitter that the name of the UAE-produced robot would be “Rashid”, honoring the father of the king’s deceased – “Dubai Renaissance builder”.

“This self-propelled robot will be 100% manufactured and developed by Emirates engineers in the UAE,” he added. “The robot will send images and data from new lunar locations that have not been explored by previous lunar missions.”

Two months ago, the UAE Mars mission was launched.

On July 20, a launch vehicle with a UAE Mars probe “Hope” was launched from Japan, the mission of which will be to study the atmosphere of the Red Planet.

Hope is scheduled to reach orbit on Mars in February 2021. Upon arrival in its districts the planet Mars one year – 687 days. The goal of the UAE Mars mission is to provide a comprehensive picture of the weather dynamics in the atmosphere of Mars.
