The UAE participated in the UN’s Critical Energy Transfer Minerals Panel

Sharjah > United Nations Conference on Critical Energy Transfer Mines held in Nairobi, Kenya (CETM) UAE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Abdullah Balala participated in the panel. The UAE led further discussions based on global development principles related to the mining sector and critical minerals International cooperation to achieve the 1.5 degree Celsius target as part of climate action and to achieve common benefits associated with it to bring up the mining industry mainly in the debate.

The UAE also announced that it will co-host the 2026 United Nations Water Conference with Senegal, putting forward proposals to align green investments and global financial commitments with the goals of COP28. The panel also discussed a summary of actions to conserve natural resources​​​​​​​​ and ensure that they are managed effectively.
