The Twitter network, deadbeat, sued by the British Crown

Published on :

In the United Kingdom, Twitter is being sued by the British Crown, which accuses it of not paying the rent for its London headquarters. In London, the firm with the blue bird is installed in a complex owned by the Crown Estate, one of the largest landowners in Great Britain.

In London, Twitter’s offices have been located – since 2014 – in an imposing building near Piccadilly Circus, right in the center of the British capital. According to the daily The Telegraphthe logo of the social network has disappeared from the building in question, but the company would still occupy it.

Lower the costs

Since buying Twitter last year for $44 billion, Elon Musk has been looking to cut costs. Everything is good to offload, starting with the workforce, three quarters of which have already been made redundant. The company sells coffee machines and decorative items with a vengeance.

Unpaid bills

For two months Twitter would not have paid the premises it occupies in San Francisco. Elon Musk, the whimsical businessman, faces a sling of advertisers who are reluctant to relaunch their advertising campaigns. No advertiser, no entry of money. In the meantime, Twitter is leaving its bills unpaid.
