Al-Marsad newspaper: A video clip, whose editors claimed it was used to fire bullets into the air during the Saudis’ celebration of the national team’s victory against Argentina at the Qatar 2022 World Cup, has gained millions of views.
The video shows young men firing automatic weapons into the air in front of a house and among cars.
The alleged comment read: “Celebrations spread across Saudi Arabia after the Saudi national team defeated the Argentina national team 2-1.”
The sources confirmed that the video is old and was posted more than a decade ago on YouTube during a wedding ceremony in one of the regions of the Kingdom and has nothing to do with Saudi Arabia’s victory over Argentina.
