<!–
The traffic light at the Kruppstrasse / Ellerstrasse intersection in Oberbilk has failed irreparably since Saturday noon due to a technical defect. According to the city, the system cannot be repaired. The Office for Traffic Management works together with the manufacturer to promptly replace the traffic lights that have been running since 1992.
–
The new traffic lights are to be adapted accordingly to accelerate the tram line 706. The plant is scheduled to go into operation during the coming week.
–
For reasons of traffic safety, Ellerstrasse can only be left to the right from both directions. Lanes have been drawn in on Kruppstrasse and left turns are currently prohibited there. Considerable traffic obstructions must be expected. Road users are asked to be particularly careful and considerate when driving at the intersection.
–
The city is investing around 110,000 euros in the new traffic light system.
