The theater cafes of Navarra denounce the “agony” of the sector

The State Coordinating Cultural Association of private rooms for live music in the Autonomous Community (ACCES Navarra), which represents the rooms Gavia Los Llanos de Estella, la sala Informal of Tafalla, He Lodosa tube, Beer Station and Rock Collection of Pamplona, released a statement on Monday in which he exposes the agony that the sector is suffering since the beginning of the pandemic and the “double wrong” they suffer from the restrictions proposed.

The representative of ACCES Navarra and owner of Sala Informal in Tafalla, Octavio Galán Bermúdez, explains that this double offense is due to the fact that they cannot mainly carry out the activity for which they were born, which is to offer live musical or theatrical performances, and neither do the activities typical of a bar, since Unlike the bars and restaurants that do comply almost entirely with their normal opening and closing hours, these rooms are completely restricted in their hours.
For this reason, they demand a series of aid for the sector from the Parliament of Navarra and the Government of Navarra. Among them: the reduction of the tax rate and / or establishment of deductions in the personal income tax quota, until the recovery of 100% of the capacity; the reduction of the rate of the Corporation Tax for the years 2020 and 2021, and exceptional deferrals without guarantees in tax debts of any amount, to 18 months; the reduction of rates and local taxes until the recovery of 100% of the capacity; the urgent need for specific and homogenized regulations in the City Councils and CC AA for these establishments; a plan of direct aid, such as, for example, the subsidy for tickets to shows according to capacity restrictions; and, finally, the matching of closing hours with those of analogues in other communities.
