The system failed – and almost 250 thousand IDPs did not receive payments: Vereshchuk explained what to do

In Ukraine, almost 250,000 internally displaced persons did not receive the promised cash payments. There are several reasons – Diya did not transfer the data or there are any problems with the documents.

Nearly 250,000 people internally displaced through the war turned to the government hotline 1548 with complaints that they did not receive cash payments from the state. 90 thousand people have already received funds after complaints.

Irina Vereshchuk, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine, said this on the air of the telethon.

“I and my ministry deal with IDP payments. We have a hotline 1548, people call it, call on the phone en masse. Many people complain that payments have either been accrued and have not received, or they have applied and have never received payments Every time we figure out what the reason is,” Vereshchuk said.

One of the reasons is that “Diya” did not transfer the relevant data to the social security authorities.

“Summarizing such reasons, they are mostly as follows. People registered with Diya, Diya did not transfer such data to the social security authorities, and these are tens of thousands of people who are now complaining precisely that Diya did not transfer such data “We have centralized such payments, the Ministry of Social Policy pays them. But there were almost 250 thousand people. 90 thousand have already been paid. Now we are helping the rest, increasing the number of computers, programs. That’s all I do, the ministry, helping other ministries to make such payments.” , said the minister.

Another reason for non-receipt of payments is “somehow, the documents were not drawn up correctly, people thought that everything was in order and were waiting, they were not informed about this on the spot, and for several months now people have not received anything.”

“So they can call us and we have a team of people who will personally deal with each such case,” advises Vereshchuk.
