The supposed Facebook post of La República about protests in Cuba is false


Recently, a capture of an alleged publication on Facebook of The Republic, with information on the anti-government protests that have been taking place in Cuba since July 11. In this regard, this newspaper clarifies that the broadcast image is false and that it is a montage.

The headline used in the post says: “Thousands of Cubans take to the streets attacking democracy in Cuba.” In addition, it is accompanied by the following text:

“Outrageous! A large demonstration of young imperialists and coup leaders marched against the democratic government of Cuba from the town of San Antonio de Los Baños ”.
