SOLO, KOMPAS.com – Photo President Joko Widodo ( Jokowi) and the Minister of Finance (Minister of Finance) Sri Mulyani Indrawati when both were not yet state officials viral of Facebook.
The picture was uploaded by Major Haristanto on his Facebook account on Tuesday (07/14/2020) at 06.33 WIB.
The documentation was accidentally rediscovered by Major while cleaning the pile of goods in his warehouse.
“Because of this pandemic I cleaned the warehouse at home. I found out photo I uploaded this on my Facebook. And now it says viral, “said Major, who was on the seminar organizing committee when it was confirmed Kompas.com, Monday (7/20/2020) night.

The Mayor said, the photo was taken during an economic seminar held by the Surakarta Business Forum (Forbis) at the Surakarta Commercial Tourism Grha Building on Friday (8/14/1998).
Sri Mulyani was present as a seminar speaker. In the caption, Sri Mulyani was invited as an economist and academic from the University of Indonesia (UI).
The seminar moderator was a national entrepreneur and humorist Jaya Suprana.
According to Major, the economic seminar was held in Surakarta Business Forum after the 1998 riots.
The seminar was sponsored by Jokowi who at that time was still a timber entrepreneur.
“From Forbis designed a post-riot seminar. I know Mr. Jokowi and I offered the idea and Mr. Jokowi agreed through the Bimointernational PPK (Timber Crafts Association) banner,” he said

The Major did not imagine, if finally Jokowi was elected President of the Republic of Indonesia and Sri Mulyani became Minister of Finance in his government cabinet.
“The possibility is the first time Mrs. Sri Mulyani and Mr. Jokowi can meet. That is most likely the first time Mrs. Sri Mulyani met Mr. Jokowi,” he explained.
Major said in the seminar that Jaya Suprana predicted, the president would be Sri Mulyani through the Independent People’s Union Party (SRI).
However, the person who was elected as president in the 2014 presidential election and again in the 2019 presidential election was actually the wood businessman who gave a speech opening the seminar, namely Jokowi.
He considered the photo to be very historic because the moment Jokowi first met Sri Mulyani.
“This was 22 years ago. Who knows, this will be the first time before he has collaborated in the current government cabinet,” he said.

Separately, a representative from Forbis Surakarta who was also the organizer of the seminar, Bambang Haryanto, said the 1998 economic seminar was aimed at soliciting input from experts after the 1998 riots.
“At that time the famous Mrs. Sri Mulyani. Then talk with Mr. Jokowi who was then a wood businessman. Mr. Jokowi was willing and the seminar was held on Friday,” he explained.
He said the economic seminar was aimed at reviving the economy after the 1998 riots.
“We want to provide a kind of prospect in the future, what are the obstacles. Solo entrepreneurs need expert input. The expert is the one we believe in and is good at that time, Mrs. Sri Mulyani,” he said.

Bambang also did not expect that Jokowi would now become the President of the Republic of Indonesia and Sri Mulyani to become Minister of Finance.
