Prague Pirate President Ivan Bartoš and his wife Lydia gave birth to a son, Bertram, on Tuesday evening. Bartoš stated this on his Facebook profile on Wednesday. He is the first descendant of a forty-year-old Pirate chief.
Bartoš has been married since 2015. His wife Lydia is also involved in the Czech Pirate Party. He has a daughter, Amelia, from his first marriage.
Bartoš was involved in the birth of the Pirates in 2009. Under his leadership, the party got into both chambers of Parliament, has the third strongest club in the Chamber of Deputies, the position of one vice-chairman and heads two committees. Last year, the party also made its mark in the European Parliament, where it has three seats and also a vice-president. Pirates have a mayor in Prague.
