Skyrim Together Reborn, a new and improved cooperative mod for Skyrim, will be released later this week on July 8th.
Skyrim Together Reborn permite que up to eight players play Skyrim together, with more or less the whole game in sync. Quests, chest contents, audio and subtitled dialogue, and much more are fully synchronized between player games, and you can even turn on PvP if you want.
As reported PC Gamerthe mod of Tilted Online it’s kind of a remaster of the previous version from the modding team, simply called Skyrim Together, but this new version has been built from the ground up and features huge improvements.
That’s not to say it will work perfectly, as the team pointed out in a post the Reddit that it’s incredibly difficult to turn single player games into multiplayer games, especially since most of the members are volunteers who contribute in their spare time.
“The mod will not be perfect. Occasionally it will crash, some missions will break, there will be bugs. This can’t be fixed“, the post said. “This is just the reality of making a multiplayer mod instead of having a massive studio like Bethesda make a multiplayer game.”
“Still, it’s playable, it’s fun, and it’s much better than the old Skyrim Together mod, which was Reborn’s goal.”.
Bethesda games have always had an avid modding community, but Skyrim Together Reborn seems to add a new way to play for those still wandering Skyrim more than a decade after its release. With The Elder Scrolls VI probably still years away, it offers a new way to play The Elder Scrolls for many. Director Todd Howard revealed last year that Bethesda’s new space RPG Starfield had taken precedence over the Skyrim sequel, with the sci-fi game recently being pushed back to next year.
