The sixth generation Honda CR-V was introduced in the US market. It appears that the latest generation of Honda “Comfortable Runabout Vehicle” will soon enter the Southeast Asian market.
Quoted by Paultan, on Tuesday (4/10/2022) the car suspected of being the sixth generation Honda CR-V was tested in Thailand. This time, two CR-V units were spotted on a Thai highway photographed by Jeerasak Suwanpeuch, both in camouflage mode.
In one of the photos, the front of the redesigned Honda CR-V is still on display. It now establishes itself as a rugged SUV with a larger mesh concept, similar to the Honda Ridgeline pickup truck.

In the United States, the new CR-V debuted for the first time for the Sport and Sport Touring variants with the petrol hybrid powertrain taking on a special look. For example, the front grille is hexagonal in shape with larger dashed pins, while the rear fascia features a trapezoidal exhaust hood.
Meanwhile, non-hybrid variants (EX and EX-L) in the US get the VTEC Turbo engine, a slightly different grille design with a simpler dashed pin and no exhaust hood. spy shot The alleged CR-V is currently being road tested in Thailand.
In the US market, the All New CR-V EX and EX-L variants use a 1.5-liter turbocharged in-line 4-cylinder engine capable of producing a maximum power of 190 hp at 6,000 rpm.
The All New CR-V Sport and Sport Touring type, on the other hand, uses an engine with a displacement of 2.0 liters 4 cylinders in line combined with two engines of the hybrid system (two-engine hybrid system) capable of producing a maximum power of 204 CV.
It is not yet known whether the car tested in the Thai market uses a similar engine. In Thailand, however, the Honda CR-V is currently offered in a choice of a naturally aspirated 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 173PS and 224Nm, paired with an optional CVT and AWD.
Unlike Indonesia, the fifth generation model in Indonesia is currently available with a 2.0-liter (154hp) NA four-cylinder engine or a 1.5-liter (190hp) VTEC Turbo engine.
