Mariusz Zaniewski, known for the role of Alexander Febo in “Ugly”, is currently playing in the second part series. In an interview with THE T.V he told about the work on the set and the situation of the actors during the pandemic. He admitted that he was very lucky himself. He does not complain about the lack of activities and, apart from acting, he also writes and directs. He also referred to the earnings of actors.
I was able to pass this worst time quite calmly. In my theater in Poznań, we also got some adjustments, the director did what he could, and even more than he could. Nevertheless, the situation was dire. Actors get a minimum wage. This is what we get if we don’t play. Minimum wage and goodbye. These myths about the big earnings of actors are myths. Big earnings are maybe five percent of people working in this profession, and the rest simply earn as much as the man working on the cash register. These are comparable earnings – said Mariusz Zaniewski in an interview with Dzień Dobry TVN Online reporter.

Mariusz Zaniewski: actors get sick every now and then
Apart from the earnings of the actors, Mariusz Zaniewski also touched upon the topic of working on the set. In his opinion, the actors do not have an easy situation and are constantly exposed to coronavirus infection. Before filming the scenes for “Uglys”, they are put to the test. The actor expressed a desire to vaccinate. He also pointed out that actors often get sick.
As actors, we would prefer to be vaccinated, because it is a job that, however, requires the removal of masks and we are simply exposed. You can see from the various plans that the actors are disappearing, they get sick every now and then, and work is hindered by this. But I suspect that our pleas will not be taken into account, because we are only entertainment, and you can do without it – he said in an interview with TVN.
Currently, the actor cannot realize himself in the theater. All performances were held on hold by lockdown.
