the SINSAENUM statement, “We did everything in our power to help him but we couldn’t”

I SINSAENUM, a band in which the late former drummer and co-founder of SLIPKNOT, Joey Jordison, shared the following statement:

“We are deeply saddened by the loss of our friend and brother Joey Jordison.
He was obviously one of the most influential drummers in the genre, completely rewriting the way metal drums are played, and it was truly an honor to share even a small part of that with him.
He put something on the plate that no other musician could put on and his love and passion for music was unmatched in a world of exhausted artists.
For us Joey he was a member of the family, and as a family we fought and cried, but most of all we laughed and took care of each other.
His public image had a serious tone, with an evil aspect, yet he had a big heart and we were lucky to be able to see the softer side of him.
Also Joey he had his demons and nothing hurts more than knowing that we did everything in our power to help him but we couldn’t.
He has never felt better than anyone and would have done everything to put everything and everyone above their needs.
Our hearts are with Amanda, his family and true friends who were with him.
And to all our fans and friends, who have contacted us in this time of mourning, we say thank you.
All things considered, moving forward at the beginning will be difficult, especially as we had already started writing the new album, but we will persevere and honor his legacy in everything we do from now on. The next disc will be dedicated to his memory, because that’s what Joey would have wanted.
‘Hails and Horns’ as you would say Joey. We miss you Jsaenum and we will love you forever.
Sinsaenum “

Joey Jordison is died in his sleep on July 26, 2021 at the age of 46.
