The ship with the new Nissan drifted off the coast of the United States for almost a week

According to Bloomberg, the ship, comparable in size to two football fields, on April 24 delivered Nissan Armada SUVs, Rogue crossovers and Infiniti sedans to the United States. It usually takes half a day to unload, but this time the Jupiter Spirit had to drift off the coast of Los Angeles until April 29th. The thing is that the port and nearby storage facilities were overcrowded, as dealers were in no hurry to pick up cars.

Amid the coronavirus pandemic, many auto brands on the US market reported a drop in sales. For example, demand for Mazda in April of this year fell by 44.5 percent compared to the same month of 2019, sales of Subaru fell by 47 percent, Toyota by 54 percent, Kia by 38 percent, and Genesis by 50 percent. According to industry experts, the North American market as a whole will drop by 80 percent in April.
