The self-proclaimed creator of bitcoin won a lawsuit for $ 100 million

Australian computer specialist Craig Wright, who claims to be the creator of bitcoin, has won a major lawsuit in the United States, US media reported. The lawsuit also affects the family of his former business partner, David Kleiman, who claimed in his lifetime to pay him a significant sum in bitcoins.

These are assets worth 1 million bitcoins worth about $ 54 billion, belonging to the mysterious and unknown creator of the currency Satoshi Nakamoto. Craig Wright has been claiming for years that this is him.

The US court sided with Wright and refused to award any of Kleiman’s assets in question. The family of the deceased former business partner claims that he is the creator of bitcoin, along with Wright, which entitles him to half of Satoshi’s alleged fortune.

They also demanded rights to some of the intellectual property behind the early blockchain technology. Their request was denied.

Although it ruled that Wright was not responsible for the fraud, the court awarded $ 100 million in intellectual property rights to W&K Information Defense Research, a joint venture between the two men. However, the money will go directly to W&K, meaning no part has been awarded directly to the Kleiman family.

“I have never felt such relief in my life. The verdict proves that I am the creator of bitcoin, otherwise the court would not have given me this monetary reward,” Wright said.

The 51-year-old man continues to claim that he created the bitcoin under the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto. However, his claims have been widely criticized and rejected by most of the bitcoin community.

In any case, the Australian received $ 100 million, and is also suing in which he claims to have access to billions of dollars in bitcoins.
