The second cohort of beneficiary attendants already at work | Coronavirus

According to data from the CSN, 28 people graduated on December 17th. Four people dropped out during training.

The new ones HELP started working earlier this week.

The ciussu from Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean could count on 115 scholarships from Quebec for this second accelerated training. There was a decline in interest in the program as the crisis deepened.

The first cohort which enrolled in the recruitment of 10,000 patient attendants in Quebec had made it possible to add 192 employees to the regional health network.

Another cohort in January

The regional vice-president of the Federation of Health and Social Services of the CSN, Gaston Langevin, adds that a third cohort that can accommodate 80 people will begin in January.

Even before the pandemic, we knew we had a shortage of patient attendants. So, it came to speed up training to be able to meet our needs. On the union side, we are currently very satisfied with what is happening in terms of the integration of all these people who come to help us., said the regional spokesperson.
