The saddest Christmases that some celebrities have lived in Colombia

Christmas is synonymous with joy, the atmosphere becomes warmer than normal and the smiling faces increase as the days go by and it is time to get together as a family and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

However, for many these dates bring back memories that fill them with nostalgia and sadness, and not only because moments with close people who are no longer there come to mind, but because of experiences lived on those special dates.

The popular music singer Jhonny Rivera told in an interview for the Network, a Christmas in particular that he remembers with great sadness and loneliness.

“Many years ago I had a Christmas that I do not forget, precisely because it was very sad. I was with Andy’s mother (son) and we were alone in Bogotá, we didn’t even have family there, we looked for a lot to do, where to go and we couldn’t find (…) That Christmas we spent on the terrace where I painted (when he was a carpenter) with a bottle of wine and some cookies that they had given us ”, recalled the now renowned singer.

Although the Christmas tradition is to eat turkey as a family, Rivera said that that day they ate something normal.

“That day the food was normal, rice, sausage and I remember that she had made spaghetti”, added the artist in the interview with La Red.

Although Rivera’s financial situation improved over time when he became a singer, in 2015 he also experienced sad moments during the holidays when his father died of cancer.

“On December 9, five years ago, he left us. That Christmas was very sad, especially for my mother, they had 56 years together and they never separated at all ”, expressed Jhonny.

On the other hand, for actor Juan David Restrepo, Christmas has changed a lot since the central axis of his family died.

“I say that I am the grinch today because as a child I enjoyed those Christmas moments as a family too much. I remember that integration a lot, my grandmother was the nucleus of that family that always made the whole family stay, but when she died that bond ended and it was very sad “, said the film and television director on the program La Red.

From that sad moment, Restrepo revealed that the cinema was his refuge to forget and focus on other things, so in December he tries to have projects and keep busy.

“I had a defense mechanism against Christmas, as I knew that my Christmases were a bit sad, so I decided that my Christmases were going to be happy on account of the cinema. Now I try to make my films in December or I try to have very important projects ”, explained the Colombian actor.

Likewise, on Christmas 2019 Juan David separated from his ex-wife, Fani Ayala, which made these dates even sadder.

“It was quite painful and more so for that month. First of all, I have my birthday on December 10, so I spend my birthday alone, 24 alone, 31 alone with that connotation that everyone is with his family and one of them only becomes a little tedious “Restrepo said during the interview.

Another of the Colombian entertainment that also opened his heart and recounted hard moments that he had to live during the festivities was the actor Mauro Bastidas, among those being in a clinic while others are celebrating with their families and friends 10 years ago.

“All the joints in my body swelled and I had a very high fever, they did tests on everything, but it was never known that I had. I cried in that horrible clinic and listening outside how the festivities, the gunpowder, accelerates one more “Bastidas said.

The actor remembers that on those specific dates he chose to put on headphones and fall asleep so as not to hear what was happening around him while he was on a stretcher.
