The Sacré-Cœur wins the From school to the stars competition

Tuesday, June 8, the final of the From school to the stars competition, organized by a professional president, in connection with the National Education and under the direction of Michel Lugnier, of the General Inspectorate of Education, Sport and research (IGÉSR), in charge of the hotel and catering sector, took place in Paris. And it is the Sacré-Cœur hotel school that won this 8th edition.

For this final, each team, made up of a cooking student, a service and marketing student and a teacher coach, produced, argued and highlighted two recipes according to the themes imposed by the president of the jury, Virginie Basselot. , Meilleur Ouvrier de France (Mof) and Michelin-starred chef at the Negresco kitchen in Nice.

Two recipes presented

These two recipes were presented to a jury of sixteen professionals, made up of a technical jury, a tasting jury and a service and marketing jury, drawn equally from the professional world and National Education.

Through the themes imposed by the president of the jury, this competition is one of the few to provide students, in kitchen and dining training, the opportunity to project themselves concretely into their future profession with all the requirements and involvement. necessary in the stimulating context of a trinomial cooking competition.

The Sacré-Cœur hotel school, represented by Noé Bonnici, student in the kitchen, Charles Archimbeaud, student in service and marketing, and Patrick Bouffety, teacher coach, climbed to the top step of the podium.

They have distinguished themselves by their arguments, their know-how, their rigor, while promoting the products, the terroir and the gastronomic heritage of Lozère and Aubrac. “This 8th edition affirmed, once again this year, its ambition to contribute to the transmission of the taste for learning, to highlight the terroir of French gastronomy and the desire to surpass themselves. The participants demonstrated technique and of creativity in front of a demanding jury but also lived a great moment of sharing in this particular context. The hotel school of Sacré-Coeur and its two students, Noé Bonnici and Charles Archimbeaud, amazed us by so much professionalism with a team very rigorous, fair tests and a perfect knowledge of the products “, said Virginie Basselot.

The entire team is invited to a lunch at the Negresco as well as to the final of the 2021 edition of the Creation and Flavors competition in Paris.

Teacher coach Patrick Bouffety will be the representative of National Education to the president of the competition for the selection of the next promotion and the 2022 final.
