The Russians will blow up the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and what will happen next

Russians have such a way – to deliberately show how inadequate and unpredictable they are to intimidate others with this. Although as a result they only confirm how short-sighted they are a**e.

The Russians have published in open sources a video of the explosion of the bridge of the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station during their flight. Why did they do it? Pto show how afraid they are of the advance of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the left bank, or … Or will they hint that they can blow up the dam itself?

It is very likely that the latter was much more of a priority for them now than simply documenting the destruction of common property, which we will restore with their money from reparations. After all, it was under this video that they again started talking about the fact that the Russian invaders, in the event of a threat to the liberation of Nova Kakhovka, could blow up the dam, locks or everything at the same time.

Well… here’s what’s interesting. Blowing up a bridge and blowing up a dam are two very different things. A total charge of 0.3 to 0.5 kilotons, or even more, is required to demolish the dam, which is comparable to tactical nuclear weapons.

But even if so, what are the consequences of this? The main flooding will happen right on the left bank, and in the part where the invaders are now hysterically equipping the lines of defense: the first, second, third … Perhaps the hysterics will soon start equipping the fourth. And if they do this, 15-20 armored personnel carriers will successfully carry them over the horizon, and the Armed Forces of Ukraine will still go to the left bank with the possibility of immediately expanding the bridgehead along the line from Skadovsk to Nizhnie Sirogozy – Mikhailovka – Tokmak . And that, in turn, is the actual loss of the entire South in the short run. What is the loss of the territories occupied by the Russians in the short term – we already know perfectly well.

Indeed, the occupiers will not gain anything, but rather lose by undermining the Kakhovskaya hydroelectric power station and, without having time to look back, they will already see detachments of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on the administrative border with the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea. But the question here is not whether they will or not, but whether they understand what the consequences of this will be for them?
