Almaz-Antey E-Neva is a 4.5 meter long crossover, which has to travel up to 463 kilometers on a single charge.

The Almaz-Antey Group is a Russian-owned armaments company dealing with anti-aircraft defense systems. In the future, however, it aims to divide its portfolio so that it does not depend only on military contracts. By 2030, the share of products for civilian customers should gradually increase to 50 percent. The production of electric cars is to play a key role in this plan.

The planned production of electric cars is also related to this year’s approval of the government’s concept of preparing for the production and use of electric vehicles in the Russian Federation in 2030. At the same time, it is expected deliveries from abroad.

The implementation of the first electric car is already emerging. In the summer, a platform project made its debut at the Army Forum in Moscow, enabling the installation of both a purely electric drive and an electric drive with an internal combustion engine serving only as an electricity generator, as a range extender, without a mechanical connection to the wheels. Instead of a combustion unit, a hydrogen device can also be used. The electric version was to offer all-wheel drive thanks to a pair of electric motors (one for each axle), with a combined power of 320 kW.
