The Rolling Stones threatens to sue Trump Court

His latest campaign event in Talsi last weekend featured the song “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” by The Rolling Stones.

British rock musicians have complained about Trump’s use of their compositions since the 2016 presidential election campaign, but this has not affected his campaign headquarters, and even during Trump’s inauguration, the song “Heart of Stone” was played.

The band and its soloist Mick Jagger and guitarist Keith Richards collaborate with the copyright organization BMI, which represents more than a million performing artists.

They have recently found out how to sue Trump for breach of the licensing agreement.

“This could be the last time Trump has used Jegger / Richards songs in his campaigns,” the group said in a statement released by Rolling Stone on Saturday. “If Donald Trump doesn’t count on the ban and continues, he has to face a lawsuit.”

In the past, several musicians, including Neil Young, have expressed dissatisfaction with Trump’s use of their compositions and tried to ban him.
