The time is therefore for savings and this will now involve a new, less generous price list for customers of the Standard offer, who have a free account and bank card.
A charge of 0.5% will be applied for more than 1,000 euros changed into another currency, compared to 6,000 euros previously. Revolut is also increasing the exchange rate punctured on weekends, from 0.5% to 1%.
In addition, transfers to countries outside the SEPA area are chargeable. After a first transfer, Revolut will charge 0.5 euros in commission. For transfers in other currencies, the invoice is 3 euros for transfers made in dollars and 5 euros for transfers of money in other currencies.
The objective of these increases is obviously to increase revenue per customer on free offers but above all to convince the most frequent users to switch to Premium and Metal offers, respectively at 7.99 and 13.99 euros per month, and that avoid most of these bank charges.
