On the Czech market, the new Arteon and Arteon Shooting Brake models are offered in four equipment lines. The cheapest Arteon level starts at CZK 851,900. followed by Elegance from CZK 962,900 and R-Line from CZK 974,900. The prize of the top R will be revealed by the domestic representation later.

Shooting Brake versions are CZK 25,000 more expensive, but in the standard equipment they also include the Easy Open and Keyless Access function worth just CZK 25,000, which makes up for the difference.

The engine range includes 1.5 TSI (110 kW) or 2.0 TSI (140 kW, 206 kW or 235 kW) petrol engines and 2.0 TDI turbodiesels (110 kW and 147 kW). The new Arteon will also be available for the first time in both body versions with the plug-in hybrid drive 1.4 TSI PHEV with a system power of 160 kW.

Both 110 kW engines are offered with a 6-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. A 7-speed DSG dual-clutch transmission is supplied for all units except 1.5 TSI.

Variants with an output of 206 kW and 235 kW have exclusively all-wheel drive. On request, a 2.0 TDI engine with a power of 147 kW can also be paired with the 4Motion system.

More practical, but still yours
Arteon in the role of a more stylish Passat has been on the Volkswagen offer since 2017. The Facelift brought with it a different design in the form of bumpers and lights, with a lighted stripe across the mask at the front. Inside, it offers a different dashboard or steering wheel, for example.

The most important innovation, however, is the more practical body version of the Shooting Brake, exaggeratedly called the “flat station wagon”. This increased the bootloader by two liters to 565 liters when the seats are in place, or up to 1,632 liters (75 more than the fastback) when folded down.
