The Region of Murcia has registered 254 new positive cases for Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, in a day in which one death from this cause has been registered. It is a 72-year-old woman from health area VI (Vega Media del Segura), as reported by the Ministry of Health in a statement.
Thus, the number of reported deaths rises to 1,669 and the total number of those affected by Covid-19 in the Region of Murcia since the beginning of the pandemic stands at 135,275.
Of the 254 new cases, 97 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 19 to Molina de Segura, 14 to Lorca, 13 to Jumilla, 11 to Cartagena, 8 to Alcantarilla, 7 to Las Torres de Cotillas, 7 to Alhama de Murcia, 6 to Archena, 6 to Beniel, 5 to Caravaca de la Cruz, 5 to San Pedro del Pinatar, 5 to Puerto Lumbreras, 4 to Águilas, 4 to Mazarrón and 4 to San Javier. The rest are distributed by the other municipalities.
The number of active cases stands at 3,387 in the Region of Murcia (109 less than the previous day), of which 181 are admitted to hospital centers (five more). Of these, 36 are in intensive care (three more than the day before).
The rest, 3,206, remain in home isolation (114 less) and there are 130,219 people cured, 362 in the last day. In addition, the number of tests carried out continues to grow, specifically 1,399,224 PCR / antigens and 114,732 antibodies have already been carried out.
