The reason the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is not equipped with an S Pen

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – There is something different from the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7. This time, the tablet product is not equipped with an S Pen. Product Marketing Professional, Samsung Electronics Indonesia, Elvira Dwi Anggraeni, said that the responsive and intuitive screen is the reason for Samsung’s newest tablet. “So indeed the S Pen is not available for the Galaxy Tab A7. But Tab A7 already uses a touch screen that is clear, responsive,” said Elvira, at the “One Device, Solution for Everyone” event held by Samsung virtually, Friday (6/11) .

According to Elvira, the intuitive screen is very enjoyable for children when they interact with the tablet, especially when using the Samsung Kids feature. However, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is suitable for all ages.

“For parents who are afraid of losing their S Pen or why it can be used. Actually, not everyone is confident about using the S Pen, they are more comfortable with using their hands because of the habit of using smartphones,” Elvira added.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 is equipped with a 10.4-inch IPS LCD screen with two color choices, namely dark gray which has a black bezel and silver which has a white bezel. The device is equipped with an 8MP rear camera and a 5MP front camera, with quad stereo Dolby Atmos speakers. This tablet is powered by a chipset from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 662, accompanied by 3GB and 32GB RAM, as well as a 7,040mAh battery.

The Galaxy Tab A7 is priced at IDR 4,999 million. This device is a challenger to Huawei’s tablet, MatePad, which was released in July. The Huawei MatePad has a 10.4-inch 2K Fullview display, which features four Harman Kardon speakers.

Having the same design as the Galaxy Tab A7, the camera on the MatePad is centered on the device’s landscape mode. The difference is, the MatePad is equipped with an 8MP front and rear camera.

The MatePad is powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 810 chipset, with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM, and a 7,250mAh battery. The device is priced at IDR 4,299 million.
