The Province anticipates fines for violators

Fines. For those who do not comply with the use of the chinstrap and for those who exceed the permits of the family meetings up to 10 people, there will be penalties. This was announced yesterday by the Governor Juan Schiaretti during the presentation of the provincial epidemiological report at the Civic Center.

The president anticipated that in the next few days he will send a bill to the Legislature to establish financial penalties for those who fail to comply with the sanitary measures and protocols established by the Emergency Operations Center (COE).

“The Province is sending a bill these days for which we are going to fine those who walk without a mask and who hold meetings of more than 10 people. The one who complies with the norms is not the same as the one who does not comply with them. We will recognize the effort and we will penalize irresponsibility. Irresponsibility cannot be free, ”said the governor, who insisted on the need to comply with preventive measures to avoid reversing with the opening of the quarantine.

For two weeks, the provincial government has been showing concern about the lack of compliance with the guidelines for social distancing. First he warned about the lack of uses of chinstrap in the population, then he reinforced the controls on the main incomes to the province and finally he intensified urban surveillance to decrease the movement of people, as he did on Friday in the Center of the city of Córdoba .

However, the Executive did not give further details of the new project that provides for sanctions. In Córdoba city, the municipal Code of Coexistence already contemplates fines for those who do not abide by sanitary guidelines.

An option that is considered to establish the amounts of the fines is to define the amounts according to the Code of Citizen Coexistence of the Province. According to these regulations, a fine unit is equivalent to 10 percent of the minimum, vital and mobile salary (SMVM), 16,875 pesos.

“There is not a single point in the province where social gatherings are authorized. Family members of up to 10 people are authorized, because the family knows each other and knows how each one is doing. And she will take care of herself if she knows that there is a relative at risk. The person responsible for there being 10 and no more than 10 is the owner of the house where the meeting is held, “said the governor, adding that the lack of compliance with sanitary regulations is one of the three vectors that produced the latest outbreaks. .

The other two causes are the arrival of people from places with community transmission of the virus, as occurred in Villa Dolores, and the entry of truckers to the province from other parts of the country or from neighboring countries.

Last night, the Province Ministry of Health reported 17 new cases of Covid-19 in Córdoba, all related to the outbreak in the Traslasierra Valley.

As for the latest outbreaks registered in four neighborhoods of the Capital, the Province announced that the situation in Villa El Libertador and Remedios de Escalada was controlled. The balance was 39 cases.

Meanwhile, in the Rivadavia neighborhood and General Urquiza – with a part in San Vicente and El Chaparral – the outbreak was contained and 27 cases were registered. Yesterday afternoon, both sanitary cords were lifted. Only a strict sanitary fence remained active in the Stabio complex.

In the country, 2,401 cases were registered, 1,423 in Buenos Aires and 849 in Caba.

A “bubble” for cargo transportation

Controls on truckers will be intensified.

Carriers may not get off on either side of their cargo trucks when entering Córdoba. In addition, they will be monitored on admission, with rapid medical and diagnostic examinations and by PCR to determine if they have Covid-19. They will have to follow a predetermined safe route and will only be able to go to the bathroom, eat or rest in sanitized and isolated spaces. This is what “in a bubble” means, the expression that Governor Juan Schiaretti used to describe the way in which they should circulate from now on.

Swabs. More than 80 thousand tests were carried out in the province.

More than 2,000 close contacts in isolation centers

The provincial Minister of Health, Diego Cardozo, reported yesterday that the Province ordered the isolation in special accommodation centers of 2,115 close contacts of people with Covid-19. This is added to the isolation in centers of 42 patients and 82 other neighbors in a situation of social vulnerability.

In turn, he explained that seven percent of the common beds for Covid-19 are occupied and only one percent of the intensive care units with respirators. Cardozo noted that an average of 86 tests were carried out for each confirmed case of Covid-19. In total, he said, 80,324 tests have been carried out with a total of 632 confirmed cases, until yesterday at noon.

The R0 for the province was 1.3 in June, while in the city of Córdoba, 1.1. The doubling time of cases, in May, was 45 days and in June it was increased to 142 days.

Cardozo defined the outbreak in Villa El Libertador and Remedios de Escalada, which added 39 cases, as controlled. The outbreak in the Rivadavia, San Vicente and Urquiza neighborhoods, with 27 related cases, is contained, according to the province. For this reason yesterday it was decided to lift the sanitary fence in these sectors.

The situation that remained open is that of Villa Dolores, which for Cardozo is already in the containment phase.

Regarding treatment, the Province celebrated the auspicious results in three patients who received convalescent plasma transfusions. The original characteristic of the treatment applied in Córdoba is that the plasma that was placed in these patients was controlled by specialists from the Vanella institute of the National University of Córdoba, because 33 percent of those recovered did not produce plasma with neutralizing antibodies.
