the protocol for hospital visits is getting tougher

With the deterioration of indicators linked to Covid-19, the management of the Hospital Group of the Mulhouse and South Alsace region has decided to change its visit protocol. This new regulation applies to all health and medico-social sites managed by the GHRMSA. It should be respected by all visitors, underlines the group’s press release.

– For medical and surgical services, visits are prohibited within all sectors of activity, unless an exemption is granted by the head of the service.

– For maternity, only visits by spouses are authorized. Visits are prohibited for any other person including siblings.

– For pediatrics, visits are limited to the parents of the hospitalized child.

– For accommodation establishments for dependent elderly people (Ehpad), long-term care units (USLD) and the MAS (Specialized reception center), visits are authorized except for children under 12, with the application of a specific protocol.

– For consultations, accompanying persons in consultation are no longer authorized, except for people with mobility, linguistic or comprehension difficulties.

Whatever the case, access to GHRMSA sites remains conditional on presentation of a valid health pass (test lasting less than twenty-four hours) and compliance with barrier procedures.

The GHRMSA invites visitors and people coming for consultation to respect these instructions in order to help curb the spread of the virus, in particular among the fragile population. He insists on the importance of respecting barrier gestures in all circumstances.
