Sevilla center-back Jules Kounde is keen to move to Tottenham, while Spurs’ new football director Fabio Paratici is set to eliminate up to eight players, according to reports.
Paratici arrived from Juventus as Spurs’ first director of football in early July and has already put Nuno Espirito Santo as head coach.
But the Italian now wants to clear the decks for Spurs and has plans to ditch a slew of fringe players.
According to The Times, Tottenham is set to part ways with Davinson Sánchez, Eric Dier, Joe Hart, Serge Aurier, Cameron Carter-Vickers and Jack Clarke, Toby Alderweireld and Harry Winks.
There are already plans to send Erik Lamela to LaLiga Sevilla. That will be part of a more player cash swap deal to sign Bryan Gil.
Gil will become the club’s first summer signing. H will arrive from Sevilla with a £ 21.6 million contract and Lamela will move to the Spanish club.
Atalanta goalkeeper Pierluigi Gollini is also on loan to the capital. That deal will have the option to make it permanent for £ 13 million.
Paratici is also negotiating for Gollini’s Atalanta teammate Cristian Romero.
According to Sky Sports, the Spurs have made an offer of at least £ 34 million, plus £ 8.5 million in bonuses, but no deal has been reached.

Kounde Sweetener
According to Alastair Gold, correspondent for Tottenham London, Kounde is interested in signing for Spurs, as long as Real Madrid doesn’t come close.
Rewal Madrid is understood to be Kounde’s number one pick. However, the LaLiga giants have financial constraints due to the Covid-19 pandemic and are not believed to be prioritizing a deal for Kounde.
Gold said: “I have been told that I would be interested in signing for Spurs as long as Real Madrid does not enter the scene.
“Sevilla have an interest in Davinson Sánchez, which could help any potential move.”
And as Gold said, Paratici could use central Sánchez as a sweetener in a possible deal for Kounde.
The defender has a release clause of 80 million euros.
It is believed that Sevilla is willing to take around 60 million euros for the player, whose contract runs until 2024.
