The price of Sean Connery’s mansion on the French Riviera is lowered

Micheline Roquebrune, wife Sean Connery Since 1975, he has not found a buyer for one of the actor’s most relevant real estate properties. It is the mansion where the couple resided in the 70s and 80s. A property located on the French Riviera with direct views of the sea and that has many attractions for any wealthy buyer. The main problem is the price at which it initially went on sale. Connery passed away in October of last year. Five months earlier, the house went on the market for about 25 million pounds.

From then until now, there have been no firm offers that have satisfied Roquebrune, who is 91 years old, one less than the actor at the time of his death. Connery had only one son, Jason, who is currently 58 years old, the result of his relationship with the Australian actress Diane Cilento, with whom he was married between 1962 and 1973.

The property was built in 1920 on the most exclusive hillside of Cap de Nice. A construction that has been updated over the years keeping its local Mediterranean aesthetic and that extends along almost 98,000 square meters of land. In it there is room for gardens, a main house, two for guests and an infinity pool. Sean Connery shared with the character he played the most times, the agent James Bond, the taste for the exclusive. Something that in this house is reflected in many of its corners. Not in vain were several scenes of Never say never, the film of the 007 saga released in 1983 and which was shot between Nice and Monaco.

The main villa, measuring almost 1,000 square meters, has five bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. It also has several rooms with sea views, a fully equipped gym and a fitness room. In addition to the aforementioned pool, the property has another covered pool and a saltwater pool that comes directly from the sea.

The house does not find a buyer and they have cut the price in half

The house takes advantage of the orography of the cliff to distribute the space along six floors. Elevator, cellar, garage for several cars and even rooms for the service personnel. Faced with the complexity of finding a buyer, the actor’s wife and his real estate advisers have decided to cut the sale price by almost half. They are now asking for about 13.3 million pounds for the entire property.
