The Realme brand has unveiled a new smartphone in China, the Realme V5. With its Mediatek Dimensity 720 chip, this 5G smartphone is the cheapest on the market.
We do not yet know the 5G in France, but the new network is already available in several countries, and new compatible smartphones continue to arrive. Now, we are entering the phase of price reductions, where compatibility with 5G is no longer the exclusivity of the latest flagships, or even killer flagship, but also more accessible smartphones. The new Realme V5 is the perfect representative.
90 Hz display, bubble design and 5000 mAh battery
The Realme V5 is a classic of what the manufacturer can offer in 2020 for a smartphone in its price range.

On the design side, we can in particular note the use of a fingerprint reader on the edge, at the power button. It’s hard to find the Realme V5 particularly original in its design approach, but that’s not really what we’re looking for in this line of products.
The price to convince
Because the club argument of this Realme V5 is therefore its price. The smartphone was made official in China at a price starting at 1,499 yuan, or about 183 euros HT for the 6 GB version of RAM and 128 GB of storage. A version with 8 GB of RAM is offered at 1899 yuan or approximately 231 euros.
It only remains to reach the possible release of a European version of the smartphone to discover official prices in euros that we hope are just as soft.
