the Prefecture tightens the screw in Côte-d’Or, the compulsory mask in Beaune

Faced with the rebound of the coronavirus epidemic in the Côte-d’Or department, the Prefecture announced new measures, Saturday September 19, 2020, which will come into effect on Monday September 21. Among the main measures: the wearing of a compulsory mask in the city center of Beaune, near schools, and the closing of all bars at 2 a.m. in Dijon. “The incidence threshold reached 80/100 000 inhabitants over 7 sliding days and a test positivity rate of 4%, and significantly in the Dijon agglomeration where these rates respectively reached 140/100 000 inhabitants over 7 sliding days”, justifies the Prefecture.

What you must remember

  • Wearing a mask will be made compulsory in the town center of Beaune from 8 a.m. to midnight.
  • Wearing a mask will be compulsory in flea markets, garage sales, markets and funfairs in the department and, from 8 a.m. to midnight, around schools and educational establishments.
  • Refreshments and catering points will be prohibited in sports grounds and in their immediate surroundings when customers cannot be seated.
  • End of the late opening authorization (after 2 a.m.) granted to several drinking establishments in the municipality of Dijon.
  • So-called integration events (eg: integration weekends) organized on the occasion of the start of the school year and university are strictly prohibited.
