Pope Francis is currently visiting Slovakia, during which he uses Škoda cars.
The Czech carmaker provided the pope with two Enyaq iV electric cars and two Karoqus. All cars are in black metallic and have a black interior, but for this occasion they were specially modified according to the requirements of the Vatican.
To make the pope more visible, the standard tinted rear windows have been replaced by clear glass. Chrome-plated holders for the Vatican flag have been placed on the front fender on the passenger side, and the official logo of the Pope’s visit is located on the exterior mirror covers.
The requirements from the Vatican also included the installation of an additional handle in the interior for more comfortable getting out of the vehicle.
Škoda has also prepared a special one on the occasion of the Pope’s visit to Slovakia, which takes place from 12 to 15 September websiteto which people from all over the world can send personal greetings to the head of the Catholic Church. All greetings added through a special website will be displayed on the Enyaqu virtual 3D model directly on this site or on any real car. Just visit this website and point your mobile device at the vehicle using augmented reality.
The head of the Catholic Church is traveling for the second time in the cars of a Czech carmaker. During his two-day visit to Ireland as part of the 2018 World Meeting of Families in Dublin, Skoda provided Pope Francis with four Rapid Spacebacks.
