The police withdrew the complaint. The website is not used for processing accounts, the councilor explained

The Editor of the List of Reports found out the identity of a member of the Prague Municipal Police, whose son was infected with coronavirus in the Techtle Mechtle club and subsequently complained about the hygiene approach to solving his family’s problem with the infection.

Deputy Mayor Petr Hlubuček (STAN) stated that he was a person from the top management of the city police. He even named her when he explained why he did not want the complaint about the alleged unprofessionalism of Central Bohemian hygiene to hang on the official website of the police officers.

“The official communication channels of the city police cannot be used to settle personal accounts with the hygiene station. It is inadmissible for me, “he told Hlubuček Report List, under which the city police belong.

The Editor of the List of Reports turned directly to the police officer, who, according to Hlubuček, is behind the accusation of hygiene. However, when asked directly, he refused to confirm that the case concerned him – with reference to the protection of his identity and medical secrecy. For this reason, the name is not even given by the editors of the List of Messages.

Hlubuček emphasized that he never wanted to judge who was right in the dispute. “I do not want to protect the hygiene station at all or claim that something like this has not happened. On the official website of the city police, however, such a thing simply has nothing to do. “

Deleted article

Last week, the city police published the article “Koronavir – Fatal Clash with Reality” (available only on another website here), in which the author of the text – allegedly a Prague police officer – described the pathology that occurred to his family after his son became infected with coronavirus.

The young man became infected at the Techtle Mechtle Club, which gave rise to one of the large outbreaks of coronavirus. The author of the article complained about the actions and clumsiness of both doctors and regional hygienic stations.

First, according to the police officer, a general practitioner and an ENT doctor diagnosed his son with the flu. The request for a coronavirus test was later written only to her son, the result was to be within two days. In the end, they looked for a private laboratory, which announced the result within a few hours – positive. According to the police officer, the Central Bohemian hygiene worker then told the family to call back the contacts she met, because she is after working hours.

The article was subsequently deleted on Monday at the request of Petr Hlubuček.

“We would not change the comma on the original wording of the published article. But the prevailing opinion was that it did not belong on the website of the city police, so we removed the article, “says the director of the Prague MP, Eduard Šuster.

Hygiene: We need to know the identity of the infected person

Central Bohemian hygiene rejected the officer’s family’s accusations and, on the contrary, claims that if she managed to properly decipher which family it was, she was also available to her on the weekend. But the family denies this, according to her “they probably describe a completely different case”.

In a statement sent to the media, the family stated that “it is ready to provide the Ministry of Health and the Regional Hygiene Station with maximum co-operation in investigating the whole matter and agrees to provide information leading to unambiguous identification of persons to the Ministry of Health.” She should send this information during Tuesday afternoon.

“The suspicion of a mistake that stuck to us due to the article will not take away from us even the most convincing statement to the contrary,” said Lilian Rumlová, director of the anti-epidemic department of Central Bohemian hygiene.

He adds that – if hygiene has found the case correctly – it does not find any mistakes in the procedure. “It is a pity that instead of dealing directly with hygiene in the form of a complaint, if he was not satisfied with the procedures of our colleagues, the author of the article published the matter on the web without giving us the opportunity to defend ourselves, and did not provide all the data objectively,” she added. Rumlová.
