The Police who were beaten when they broke up the commotion in Tanjung Priok turned out to be members of the National Police Baharkam

JAKARTA, KOMPAS.TV – A police officer named Bripda Rio Novemberyanto Rajagukguk was the victim of a beating in the Tanjung Priok area, North Jakarta.

North Jakarta Metro Police Head of Criminal Investigation, AKBP Dwi Prasetyo Wibowo, said that the attack on Bripda Rio occurred on Saturday (1/1/2021) at around 17.00 WIB.

At that time, said Dwi, the victim of Bripda Rio was eating at a warteg in Tanjung Priok. Not far from the warteg, there was a fight.

“The victim was eating at a warteg with his colleague and then saw a commotion. He tried to break up but instead became a victim of beatings,” said Dwi when confirmed on Monday (11/3/2021).

Dwi revealed that Bripda Rio Novemberyanto Rajagukguk is a member of the National Police’s Polairud Baharkam Directorate.

As a result of the beating, said Dwi, Bripda Rio suffered a number of injuries in several parts of his body.

However, Dwi did not reveal in detail which part of the body was injured.

Dwi added that the incident was under investigation by the North Jakarta Metro Police.
